1  I come up for air 直翻為"我只為空氣而來" 意為你不在意我 所以我不懂我還傻傻的等你做什麼

2  It makes no sense at all 這裡也可以解釋為 "我不怎麼相信" "這怎麼可能?" (其實在歌詞裡的意境 這只不過是在安慰自己的話)

3  Such a long way to fall

I knew it was coming

I could feel it in the air

這邊三句描述得很好 "就像是從高處墜下一般 我可以從空氣感覺到 地面(在歌曲裡暗指對方的回答)就快來臨了"

4  Fallen from Grace 其實在文言裡指的就是"失寵"的意思 在這有雙關的用法 講的是 "從你的懷裡、心上消逝" 也有 "你不再那麼喜歡我了(失寵)" 的意思

而那個"你不再那麼喜歡我了" 是主角自己的錯覺罷了 因為對方一直都把自己當朋友而已 但過去主角自己一直覺得對方也對自己有意思

5  My head hits the ground 直譯為 "我的頭著地了" 意即"我傷得很重" "我很受傷"

6  divided we fall 是 分道揚鑣 的意思 在此想表達的意思是 "我不管了" "就讓它去吧"

7  So many dreams can fade and die 直譯為 "好多夢可以抹去" 意思為 "我做了好多關於你的夢 而我好想遺忘他們 他們是該被抹去的"

這首用到很多慣用語 所以翻譯上難度也高出了許多

但這樣也讓這首歌多了不少味道!
