所以爭吵時的言語更是傷人

一首關於 愛 裡面的 爭吵 的歌

這首是The Wanted的歌裡我最喜歡的 也一直打算要翻譯

但這首歌的歌詞真的很深奧和抽象ˊˋ 花了Piers我整整一個禮拜在想怎麼翻比較好

1  cut loose為習慣用語 指擺脫束縛

2  這裡的Save your words是附和下一句 I'm bleeding inside  指的是"我已經很難受了 拜託妳把妳想說的話留下吧" 替我留一點退路的意思

3  這裡的got no where left to hide的主詞為 I

4  bring me to my knees 為特殊用法 有以下兩種意思 1.令我臣服 令我屈服 2.令我抓狂 瘋狂

這裡應上一句的you're slipping away from me 要表達的是 "因為你離我越來越遠 讓我不得不趕快想辦法挽回你 我仍需要你" 我無法抵抗(使我臣服) 的意思

5  twist the knife也是特殊用法 在諺語裡是落井下石/在別人傷口上撒鹽 的意思   但正常用法裡也有我把刀轉向自己 我寧願自己受罪也不願看你受傷的意思

這裡的主詞為"We" 所以表達的是第一個意思 指的是"我們不斷的傷害彼此"

6  We forgive後面省略了each other 完整文義應為 "我們原諒彼此"

這次這首翻譯真的有點難度!

但歌也真的很好聽
