還記得那天看葛萊美時 聽到這首歌 就深深的被他吸引了

看完歌詞後心裡更是有無數的感觸 我便花了整整一天的時間在翻這首歌

想要讓更多人感受到那種 "其實你不是一個人孤軍奮戰" 的感覺

Hunter在這首歌裡是扮演安慰者的角色 但其實這首歌有很大一部份是他寫給他自己的話吧?

在葛萊美結束後的採訪中 他談論著這首歌 眼眶卻隱隱約約閃著淚光 想必他一路走來也經歷了不少風風雨雨吧?

尤其是現在身在國外的Piers 非常能體會那種 "你試著去做不同事情時 別人的異樣眼光"

我連喝杯熱開水在美國都會被側目了 更何況你想堅持著你的夢想...

*1 這裡的Crowded Hallways指的是"你"現在所處的位置"、"不適合你的這裡"

*2 前半段的"Trust the one who’s been where you are" 準確一點的意思是 "那位不管你在哪都陪伴著你的" 意即即使你處在失意的處境 還是陪著你的那個人
中間的 wish其實是希望、期盼的意思 但照句子意思 反而"祈禱"比較貼切
後面的sticks and stones都是小的東西 所以"wishing all it was was sticks and stones" 意思是"祈禱一切都沒什麼大不了" 即是"一切都會過去"的感覺
把one翻成朋友是根據後面的"You got a friend"

*3 invisible 指的是無形的或隱形的 用在人身上比較像是被遺忘的 被忽略的意思

*4 "there’s so much more to life than what you’re feeling now"
這句意思是生命中有太多的事 比你現在的感覺還要重要 言外之意是:與其在這受傷、難過 不如趕快收拾心情 繼續朝自己的夢想前進

*5 "So your confidence is quiet"
這句我選擇直翻 意思指的則是"你的信心因為那些言語 已被破壞的一絲不留"
然而這裡的quiet還有按指 你聽到了他們的那些言語 你卻只保持quiet(靜默)
所以才會有下一句的"To them quiet looks like weakness" 意思是:他們覺得這(靜默)是你的弱點

直翻是:"因為你已經強壯到不需要 戰爭/爭辯 就能贏了"
言外之意是你根本就沒有錯(前面的:保持靜默或沒有信心) 怎麼需要去爭辯些什麼?

中間的Promise是Hunter對"你"的promise
因為前面的"let yours beat out so loudly" 所以有了後面的"promise"
意思是: 就大膽讓你心的節奏被聽見吧! (我)保證你(在勇敢嘗試之後)不會再需要躲藏

直翻是:"為了你 和你將要做的事而揮舞著旗幟"
"將要做的事"簡單來說就是未來的成功 就是未來的輝煌燦爛
"揮舞著旗幟"這裡講的就是加油和喝采
